Tunes is best known for being the saxophonist in John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. His performance as Wendell Newton in the movie Eddie and the Cruisers, pushed him into the national spotlight. The movie’s soundtrack reached top 10 on the Billboard 200, and produced a #7 hit single On The Dark Sideon Billboard’s hot 100.
After the success of the movie, the band went on to produce 4 more albums under the Eddie and the Cruisers title. The band later released Roadhouse and Live & in Concert.
