You can refer to the Shows page to get an idea of when the band may be in your area, but the Shows page does not reflect all confirmed or tentative dates. It is easiest to send a simple email inquiry about a date.
PRICING
There are so many variables, such as day-of-the-week, time of day, market, travel, etc., that it doesn’t make sense to list booking rates here– it is much better to discuss this for special events. For standard club engagements feel free to send me requests about date availabilities and in all cases, feel free to send me an offer.
BENEFIT CONCERTS & CHARITABLE EVENTS
Ernie and the Automatics do a great deal of charitable work, both as a band and through Ernie Boch, Jr.’s Music Drives Us Foundation (link). As there is always a great deal of demand for benefit shows, it is impossible to do them all– despite the desire to help– and at this point the focus is on causes that revolve around events that support music and music education oriented programs or community oriented youth programs. Some exceptions will be made, but their desire is to have a lasting impact on a narrower range of issues, rather than spreading their philanthropic work too thin to have significant impact.
Ernie and the Automatics is a business like any other and they cannot donate their time play benefit or charity events. The idea is that artists bring people to these events, enabling the promoters to charge a reasonably high ticket price that reflects the cost of entertainment, production and marketing– like in any other performance– but that also generates proceeds for a cause.
